Owl*Key*Me Arts is the brainspawn of Laura Tempest Schmidt, a Providence, Rhode Island-based artist, designer, and dancer.

She is a professionally trained visual artist, receiving her BFA in Printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), and having trained at Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia and the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts. Her artwork has received awards and honors worldwide. She is also very well-known for her unique costuming and art-wear designs, including the original "corset belt" design, the "skorset", the "corset bra", the "shruggery", "whoodlet", and many more. Her work can be found on design aficionados across the world.

Owl*Key*Me Arts is the next chapter of Laura's design journey, under the parasol of Med'Devi Ink (her design company, founded in 2001) . The aesthetic focuses on combining 2D and 3D art, with dark whimsy flavorings, merging mythic realms with Steampunk, Neo-Victorian, and Nouveau Noir fantasies with practicality, ease-of-wear, and innovation.
